England secured their place in Euro 2025 after a goalless draw against Sweden.

Despite dominating the game for long periods, the Lionesses couldn’t find their ruthless streak, decent efforts from Russo and Stanway failed to find the back of the net.

Watch the highlights:

Scotland remained unbeaten in their group with a 1-0 win over Serbia. They progress to the playoffs.

Northern Ireland beat Bosnia 2-0 to finish second in their group and move to the playoffs.

Wales also secured their place in the playoffs with a 2-0 win over Kosovo. Jess Fishlock scored to become Wales’ all-time highest goalscorer with 45 goals.

The shock result of the final group games was the Republic of Ireland beating France 3-1.

  • A new qualifying format was introduced for Euro 2025.

Teams were put into three leagues (A, B and C) depending on their performance in the Nations League.

    • These leagues were split into groups (1, 2, 3, 4) which competed in a qualifier round (that round has now finished).

    • The winner and runner-up from League A groups and hosts Switzerland (League B) go through automatically.

    • After the group games, 28 teams progress to the playoffs. There, they’ll play two rounds of playoff games.

    • The teams are split into two paths for the first round, played over two legs, home and away. The winners (14 teams) progress to the second leg of the playoffs.

    • The winners of path one, play the winners of path two in the second round.

    • Whoever wins those matches will take the final seven places in the Euro 2025 finals.
